Here are a few shots of Boojum under construction at Q-West in Wanganui, NZ:

Sheet of 10mm plate, precut by computer from CAD drawings

Boojum was designed using CAD tools, and "cut files" describing how each sheet of metal was to be cut were emailed to NZ, where a computer controlled plasma cutter did the work. A "boat kit" of precut parts were then shipped to the builder. Here is one of the sheets of 10mm plate.

Hull plating complete, the boat is turned over so that work can start on the superstructure.

Interior fitting

After painting, Boojum was moved into the wood working shop for fitting of the interior. This picture was taken in August of 2000.
