  • Underway again (sort of)

    Boojum has suffered another bout of air in the fuel lines… And in my attempt to trace the problem, I wound up dropping a banjo washer under the engine…
    So rather than sailing for Port Townsend, we are being towed to Shilshole Marina, where the good folks at Auxilliary Engine Service, who seem quite experienced with Sabb motors, will be looking into things for us. (…)

  • Point Hudson to Bell Harbor

    It began so beautifully… we left Point Hudson Marina at 0530, still very dark out, the sky blazing with stars, wind and water calm and smooth. As we motored south, the sky gradually lightened. (…)

    We've been listening to an audiobook version of The Borrowers and The Borrowers Afloat (one of our favorite series!) and the this post gets it's title (with apologies) from them…
    As of today, we have determined that 2 of the three electric bilge pumps need replacing, apparently due to freeze damage over the winter while out on the hard. (…)
