Point Hudson to Bell Harbor
It began so beautifully… we left Point Hudson Marina at 0530, still very dark out, the sky blazing with stars, wind and water calm and smooth. As we motored south, the sky gradually lightened.

After passing under the bridge and through the cut, we crossed the mouth of the Hood Canal and headed down the Puget Sound into a freshening south wind. The wind gradually became about 25 kts opposing the incoming tide, creating a vicious short chop - Boojum's least favorite sea. Luckily the kids loved it, claiming it was a better ride than any at Oaks Park! We tacked a bit to ease the ride, and with one paravane in the water made it safely into Bell Harbor about 1300.

We had a great lunch at Anthony's restaurant and gave Boojum a freshwater shower to clean all the salt off, then headed out to search Seattle for toy stores. A great trip!
